January 6th - 24th.

Sigh, sadly I fell off the work out bandwagon - again! I got too bored with the Jillian DVD, and then I got my monthly visitor, and then I got busy, and then I got sick :( Lots of excuses, and after I can once again breathe, I am going to get back on my treadmill and work on getting some more tonnage off.

I also fell off the blogging bandwagon - again! I had such good intentions of keeping up with it. Then again I always have good intentions LOL.

At least I have gotten some scrapbooking done, thanks to the challenges from the gals over at Paper Pushers . Here are my layouts so far this year - I am trying for a goal of 52 layouts done this year. I've got a pretty good start on it, and layout #4 is on my desk right now :)

Day 3

Day 3 is finished, still painful, but forced myself to do it. I am almost to the point where I can do the dialogue along with Jillian. Boooring. But I will survive :)

Day 2

Today was Day 2 of the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. Tough stuff. Not sure I will finish it, not because it is too tough - but because it is too repetitive and I bore easily. But now I know why it was only 9.95 - since it basically has 3 workouts on it. LOL.

New Year Resolutions

Yeah, I conform to the pressure and make 'em - do I keep 'em? That I'm not so good at - LOL. The same resolutions seem to be making the list year after year - but I have made progress - so I count that as successful!

My resolutions this year are:

1. Scrap more! My kids have told me how much they enjoy their scrapbooks and they want me to scrap more - and so do I. To that end - Jen & I have started an small online scrapping community that is geared toward giving us all that push we need to scrap - it's called Paper Pushers.

2. Be fit! Mitch and I made a pact before he left for Africa that we would run a 5k together when he returned. I've made some progress - but I let some breathing issues derail me. I have lost 15 pounds since he left - and am stronger - but want to me even more so! To that end, I've begun doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred - along with my friend Jen. I will also be doing the C25K program and my push up and sit up programs.

3. Be more fiscally minded. I've been fortunate in my life that I have pretty much always had the money for things that I need/want. Unfortunately that mind set has made me not watch where my $$ is going. This year I vow to make a budget and stick to it. To that end, I'm giving myself an allowance each week in cash, and leaving the debit card at home. That will make me more mindful of how I'm spending my money.

So those are my top 3 resolutions, there are more - but these are the ones I really want to focus on. Wish me luck!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is my 23rd Anniversary. 23 years ago today, I married someone who makes me laugh, puts up with my particular brand of bull shit, and is a wonderful father to our 3 children. 23 years - and I love him more now than on the day we got married.

Thank you honey, for the wonderful life you have shared with me. May we share many more years together!

Happy New Year

Hope that everyone had a safe, fun and happy New Year's Eve. Ours was very laid back. Brett, Emmaa and I watched a couple of movies and hung out until 12:30 - watched the Space Needle fireworks on TV - and then watched a replay of the ball drop in Times Square.

Happy 2011!!
