Phone call
My brother Vern called today to wish me a happy belated birthday. He was off yesterday buying a Triumph, so didn't have a chance to call. He will be coming up the first part of November and spending a weekend. Will be fun to see him!

Happy Birthday to me!
Well I got a couple phone calls for my birthday, My FIL called, my friends Elizabeth and Bonni called. Day didn't turn out so well for my DH though, he tried to order me flowers from 1-800 flowers.com and they couldn't fill the order, but they didn't bother to call and let him know, so he found out when he called them at 6pm tonight. So he was bummed that I had no card and no flowers. He did give me $100 to spend at the casino, I tried to cash in after I lost $20, figured I could buy a lot of scrapbook supplies for $80, but he wouldn't let me. So I ended up playing it all out and left with nothing. Mitch fixed me a wonderful dinner - so it wasn't a total loss!!! My MIL had given me a beach, lighthouse fabric embroidered picture that she made that is beautiful and our neighbors Paul and Ruth gave me a gift card for the mexican restaurant her in town and a nice hummingbird business card holder and a dragonfly votive holder. It was nice to spend time with them and with the family.

Turning 38
Well, tomorrow I will be 38. Sigh. Doesn't bother me - well too much! Except for the fact that all the people I meet now are younger than me, and that most of the drivers look too young to have a license! LOL. I guess that I am turning into an old fart - pretty soon boy scouts will be helping me across the street :)

Obsessions
Sheesh, I have so many obsessions, or hobbies, as some people call them! I have been through several - Cross stitch, rubber stamping, and now scrapbooking. I think that I have found my niche in scrapbooking though, and I get to do fun altered items too! But I have such a hoarders mentality that it is hard to actually use all my lovely supplies! I guess I need to work towards getting some of the old stuff moved out to make room for new!!

A boring life
Well, life has turned into a boring pattern lately. Running from one thing that I have to do to another. One of these days I'd like to control my own life :) Guess that might be after the kids are grown and gone!!

Rainy Monday
Well living in the PNW, you would think I would be used to the rain, but it still gets me down. Guess I need to get to the tanning booth and get some "sun" , maybe then I'll feel more with it.

Happy Birthday Vivian!
Today is my oldest sisters birthday. She is 63. We aren't very close, but I sent her an e-card for her birthday. I guess if I want to have a better relationship with her, I will have to be the one to pursue it. But for right now, I just don't have the energy.

I love Saturdays! Everyone sleeps in and I get up early and can have some peace and quiet. I love my family - but some alone time is also a must have!!

BOO for Ebay
The Design Team at Scrap Addict made some awesome items for a charity auction and the owner of the site put them up for auction on Ebay with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross for Hurrican Katrina relief. The owner made none of the items herself, but bid using her personal ebay account on a couple of things that she wanted for Christmas presents. And Ebay shut down the auctions and said she was "shill" bidding. I am 100% confident that she was doing no such thing, especially since she told me to quit bidding on something that she wanted or she was going to fire me :) Iunderstand why they need these rules in place, but they don't apply in this instance and I think they made a wrong move.
